First nights play

And lo it was good...

Didnt get into beta so this was my first real experience of EQ2.

It looks very nice and on the server I chose was lag free and very smooth - theres quite a bit of instanced content whilst still having places where you bump into your fellow aspirants.

Questville - lots of quests and they have decent rewards for once! I can well believe that you could level solely on quests..

Crafting - did the starter quest and made a few bits but so far lack the skill to make anything usefull - I also got hammered by the unexpected events whilst not being shown how to counter them...

Look out Train!!! Yep - even tho theres locked encounters you can still drag a steaming red train to folks if you arent carefull so beware - I ran to a guard and turned round to see my train moshing some poor soul who was afk - oops...

All in all I cant wait to play again - and cant wait for my mates copies to turn up too!

What class did you choose? and which server did you end up on?
Thinking of going on Permafrost as thats where my old guildies are going too.

well my first 3 hours in the game was mostly taken up by trying out the best settings I could have

Extreme settings works like a charm in 1280*1028 and DAMN it looks good.

Havent really decided what to play yet but will definetly be an elf and prob go the mage route. Or be alittle different and go for paladin.

I really like this game because it doesnt feel like u have to rusch trough things in the same way as for example DAOC. I listen to the quest stories, explore and just relaxing.

I plan on doing exactly that, taking my time to explore the world as i do as many quests as i can.
