so its out .......

i rolled a high elf mage and got to lvl 6 almost 7 purely by quests and besides of getting lost a few times it was pretty easy i fact killing the quest mobs are silly easy as mage ... root / dot / dd / dd and if its a hard one reroot and start over ... u can even melee while casting if u cant be arsed to root


it looks good and feels good now we just need to get some friendly guilds formed

there is a few things thats bugs me and it might be easy to solve as i have not done alot of reading etc.

1. combat messages inc. other ppl's shows in chat window ... so hard to follow a chat from grupe etc.

2. text bobbles ... guess its to make it easy for a grupe to see who says what but in a just 3 man grupe thats get a bit exsided in fight its a bugger as it takes up alot of screen space

3. wtf ( sorry ) is up with the mini invitory ? 6 ? slots yeah there can be bags with more slots in each but only 4 slots per bag ( or there is bigger bags ?? )

seen a few low lvl figthers at work and it seems to work well and it defo looks good when ppl fight also spells have real nice animation imo.

crafting system seems a bit odd but i need to use some more time on it to figure it out more

dunno how many ppl is on the english ( euro ) server atm but there is almost no lag and i have not lost connection in 6 hours now ... 2nd comp running daoc at the same time ( addict i know ) has gone LD 3 times.....

From my days in the beta lets try to help.

1. Althought you cant what appears to be zone wide, you can right click on a chat window and turn off alot of the spam, can also create a new chat window and include some parts of the spam that you want to see, on my character I had three windows with scrolling text, one for chat messages, one for system messages (just like in daoc) and a 3rd for loot hehe pays to see what gets dropped

2. Sure you can turn chat bubbles off under options, 99% sure its there somewhere

3. Yup if you spend an hour crafting youll be able to make 6 slot bags, later on youll get even bigger bags, and also bags that magicaly dont weigh anything no matter what you put in them, it takes a bit of getting used to but my inventory was rarely full when you filled your slots with bags. On the refugee island where you start in the main goblin camp there is a named goblin ont he left hand side - he drops a 6 slot bag

Problem is here the games not out in EURO officialy i guess the only way to get it is import, we officialy have to wait until friday to get it

And yes casters have it damn easy - in the first days of beta root was even better and you could nuke.dot without the mob getting to you.

About bags, the 6 slot on the isle was already mentioned, and there is a fast and easy 8 slot quest item in Nettleville. Later one crafters can make even more slots and you can buy them from merchants in higher level zones too. I found a merchant selling 10 slot bags in Riverdale (which is actually a very nice looking zone )
