Enjoying EVE again!

The last year or so I've not played much EVE, due to the boredom of it. I was director in a 0.0 corp and used most my time fueling towers, running logistics or repping towers (when goons+KIA invaded). Then I went inactive for a while and on impulse joined RECON together with Sharkith. However they are very heavy US timezone and ops ran very late.

Then a month ago, I decided to get into EVE again. Used alot of time looking for the right corp. In my opinion the corp is alpha and omega for EVE enjoyment. Some simple questions to ask yourself:
  • Is the corp in your timezone?
  • Is the corp active (by looking at killboard)?
  • Does the corp have an active and level-headed leadership?
  • Does their activities correspond to your interests?

If yes to all of the above, then you are good on your way. Timezone and corp activity is very important in my opinion.

I settled on a corp named "The Littlest Hobos" [WEDIE], member of Ushra'Khan <UNITY> and since I joined I've never had so much fun in EVE. They're a funny, intelligent bunch and we do alot of stuffs together as a corp and with the alliance.

I've mostly done cloaky ops and RRBS ops. Sitting at providence-pets' jumpbridges like a german U-boat, waiting for the next hauler coming through requires patience but is thrilling and rewarding when a fat one comes through.

Once I popped a hauler at a jumpbridge and managed to scoop about 150m in salvage. Another time a hauler went through a gate and crow and manticore dropped. I knew the pilot or someone else would come and scoop it up in a hauler due to the size of the loot. So I sat and waited in my bomber. At last the same guy comes around. He has cover on the gate (assorted inties), but I send a bomb his direction which pops his new hauler and the wreck.

This last month alone, I've done about 50% of my previous lifetime kills! Only lost two bombers, participated in lots of fights, not killed a single rat and still went + in the wallet.

Some might think RP alliances are bad at PVP and talk ye olde english in local. Which is NOT the case. UNITY is one of the best alliances when it comes to skirmish warfare in the game, rivalling any of the big pvp alliances. May it be fast moving fleets, cloakies or blackops hotdrops. And another bonus is no sov, so no tower fueling and less pos shooty.

Find your right place in EVE, you'll have great fun.

Great news!

Not sure when I'll end up resubbing to be honest but glad you're having a laugh. Always wanted to do some Blackops ops stuff and have an alt with cyno V but could never get enough people interested in the corps I've been in.

P.S. Butterdog is a terrible poster.

Blackops operations are quite risky and time consuming because you need an alt or someone else in a blockade runner to supply the fuel when people are jumping out.

Yeah we do have some forum trolls in corp.

Butter has his opinions as does lilan but they're good guys underneath it all.

As a corp WEDIE are exceptional. I flew alongside them in INSRG and was very close to applying to them when I reactivated my account earlier this week.

The changes to stealth bombers makes them a potent enemy these days. You can (with the right skills) fit 3 torp launchers 2 BCS II and an MSE along with point and mwd which is not to be sniffed at.

I went on a roam the other night and we totally annhilated a plated rook which unwisely decided to take on two of us at a gate.

CVA are good to fight as well as long as you're in cloakers or fast moving ships. There's certainly plenty of them to kill

Yeah, no chance roaming provi unless you are in cloaker or a fast ship. The providence response gangs form pretty quick and are ruthless.

I'd drop the MSE for a best named or t2 target painter on a stealth bomber, increases damage radically on most targets. They are paper ships after all.

CVA are pretty good pvpers, they got alot of members that know their stuff. Can not say the same about their pets.
