seen a few of those pots. basically (s)he's making a capped wall of text just to tell someone to fuck off and the likes.
the first half of the first post i read from him/her was mildly amusing. after that it all got extreamly boring. its kinda like Seels "carrors are orange and it's a wonderful thing" post. but without the finesse. a shitload of text without purpose or meaning.

Have been following SHC recently and Jade has been posting on there for nearly a year. It was never a game ban, just a forum one - like TankCEO and that Hippo goon chap.
For anyone who is in the least bit interested. Happy Christmas

Back in 2003 I think TTI's (TTI was the frist true industrial mega corp in EVE) Gamma Squad (TTI's PvP wing) was flying with the Venal Alliance and Evolution which is still playing a major part in EVE from what I know kept attacking the Gamma Squad even though they had a non-aggression pact with them. TTI became full member of the Venal Alliance and we had no problem dealing with Evolution and the other scum. They decided to take a political approach then and contacted some senior Venal Alliance members and proposed to not attack the Venal Alliance if the alliance would boot TTI. Jade and Jericho were just no one at the point, he has been just used by Molle from Evolution to break the alliance and he did: TTI didn't get booted as the vote to kick them was defeated, but not unanimously. TTI's CEO decided to put all alliance members who voted against TTI to put on kill on site and then all members bar SPVD afair voted to kick out TTI. TTI and SPVD were flying alongside then, that was quite hilarious as TTI was the kind of corp that you would tag White Paladin maybe and Space Invaders was a notorious pirate corp, but one with business ethics, still TTI became a much bigger target then for almost everybody as working together with pirates was something most in the EVE universe didn't approve. When later Jade had the New Venal Alliance (which I called the Not Venal Alliance *giggle*) running he used to be on the receiving end of the Space Invaders and the Forsaken Empire, at one point we dominated NVA so badly that he asked all of them just to flee whenever we were around, he also told his alliance pilots that we had some kind of secret shield and armor piercing weapons (such stuff didn't exist). Later m0o and Forsaken Empire trashed the Fountain Alliance along with Evolution and Xanadu and everybody who went to the north to make trouble there before, so I had plenty of fun in taking revenge. All in all I don't have much respect for Jade and Molle. Jade was always a paper tiger, Molle would smack talk you after you podded his wing man. The TTI guys were a good bunch though Ragnar was a bit too megalomaniac too. As you can see EVE Online was an ego game from the beginning, Molle, Jade, Ragnar versus each other, it couldn't go good for Venal, I think the place has been a constant war zone from the beginning of the game. Archain started to make the very first EVE game videos there. Damn you Sharkith, you shouldn't have posted this, now I've gone all sentimental again, argl ;-). |

Eve really is a phenomenon in this market, I keep reading all these immense stories like the one where someone managed to pull a massive heist on a corp with over a years work planning it and now this. Shame I never really got in to it, maybe I went the wrong way..mining got boring for me. Maybe I should have tried pirating.

you have to see it as a longer game and be prepared to play it 'longer'. Over 42,000 on the server this evening. It just keeps growing.
We have had a few people from DAOC into the corp and then left because they could not get to grips with it. It takes a long time to work up a serious way to make decent ISK. Once you do that and start to see your character take shape the game really rocks. There is that and also trying to get a corporation concept up and running. I really enjoy it more and more to be frank with you. Nat |

I agree but I am not surprised that a lot of the DAoC simpletons don't like EVE. It has a much more complicated conflict, zerging some keeps and taking relics in the night when no ones is around to defend it and smacktalking on forums with no proper way for it to backfire in game is not everything.
What I like about EVE is that some wealthy punk can spend a few billions ISK to make his opponent suffer without moving a muscle. I've heard of some funny market warfares, people buying out entire regions and putting the stuff for 5% more and then someone rebuying the region. Add some nasty take over heists and stuff like extortion, deception, generally speaking corp politics and you have EVE, no game has come close to it yet. In my opinion EVE Online is the only one true PvP MMORPG out there. What I don't like is the ISK race, what once was the Battleship is now ship x and will be ship y. The blobing is shite too but it's human nature. If you give someone the possibility to use two assault rifles with grenade launchers that are one-hit-iwin-wonders people will use it. That's the problem with most games, a lot of people go the way of the least opposition and as a developer one should be careful. In my opinion large entities in EVE should suffer from a few disadvantages and if you ask me, the alliance thingy was a bad stuff to implement in the first place. Also, EVE should have rewarded long time corp membership somehow. I too often fought a megacorp who just thought they could own a place without speaking to the locals first, after a few weeks they would disband their 1000 members and play with alts for some time and form a new corp again. Maybe one could have implemented combat fleet bonuses and the longer the corp plays together the better they would be. This way people would go together through bad times also. Anyway, CCP owns Island from what I've heard, huge and deserved success for them, hope that the Vampire game will be as good. |

Yeah Manisc,
some of this I agree with especially the blob thing. One thing that is fascinating is that in Eve 'tank and gank' seems to be the main approach to PvP. I don't see people using enough of the other tools especially in small gang warfare. Coming from DAOC we are only interested in small gang fights and want to avoid a lot of the bigger fleet battles where lag is the only winner. That needs co-ordination and some canny play so we will be focussing on that over the next six months. The first six months of the corp was about just getting going and getting PvP action. Now we have that experience we want to move onto a more structured thing. I always said it would take a year to get it working and I am about right I think in that estimation. Things take a lot longer to get right in Eve and developments are slower. So in small gangs we are looking at doing a lot of what we saw on prydwen. Now we have the people in the corp we are working on a corp fleet so that our guys won't have to worry too much about what is lost on corp ops. As for Trade wars - I havea trading alt and there is some very funny stuff you can do on people espeically the twitchy ones who like to always have te highest buy orders and lowest sell orders.
