Is Stealth rly stealth or just "stealth"?

Ok, thinking of rogue (ofc )...

I heard some1 said that stealth isnt rly stealth as in daoc-stealth... ie invisibility! Then i read the guide (by BradyGames i think) and stealth has a detection range which seems like it IS in fact daoc-stealth like...

So im confused! (not the 1st time, hehehe)

Is stealth=invisibility (dont count in the level/etc detection range)?

What Im after is... Can I (still) walk up to an even level mage and wtfpwn him like in daoc (the early dayz) without him seeing me a mile away?

PS. cant w8 till 2morrow

Yeah stealth works much alike daoc's.

You can only see a stealthed rogue if he gets very close (most of the time you can't even see em them, you see em when they attack you).

Ofcourse say if you're 20 lvls higher than the stealther, you can see him from quite a distance

You won't be dropping them quite as easily as a rogue in Daoc.

in my experience a mage stands a damn good chance against a rogue
assuming both are well played. not to say rogues are weak.. definately not.

Gnolls dont ice you then blink away before sheeping you and proceeding to heal themselves. Nukes follow soon If a mage isnt dead before they get off 2 insta spells you have a problem
