illusion controller question

just wondering if the group invisibility can be used on your char if you not in a grp. if so, seems pointless getting superior invisibility. any illusion controllers can let me know?

there's a rather big difference between the 2
Superior invisibility renders you completely invisible for mobs (yes, even the level 40+ ones) but makes you unable to manipulate the outside world (tho pbae heals might work, not sure) group invis works like stealth, meaning mobs will detect you if you come too close, but you'll get a defense bonus because you're harder to see. you can also attack and such as normal

oh, and like all group powers, it can be used on yourself alone as well

cheers for that Bel. i thought tht superior was just stealth also. hmm, still think its a bit overkill going for both, so will prob settle on grp invis. though not sure even about that. how useful is invisiblity in the game? ive never really come across a situation where i thought it was needed

It can be useful for moving about. But most people have their own travel powers anyway, so I don't think it's that useful.

I used it alot to scout ahead in difficult missions. saved my skin plenty of time in a particularly nasty Lost mission, where there was a boss around nearly every corner.
