Error loading saves

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me. I can start new games fine, but when I click load game I get thrown to my desktop and recieve an error message saying "Not a JPEG file: Starts with 0x00 0x00" then it takes me to that weird console type screen and the last few lines are this....

I've got an AMD (1.7ghz) 1gb ram, and a Radeon 9700pro. I can play Farcry, Painkiller, MoH:AA etc perfectly and the actual gameplay of CoD is fine, just this stupid error message.

Don't suppose anyone has an idea whats wrong? I could start a new game but I played solidly yesterday and got through some really tough parts, also I don't wanna restart if I'm just going to get the same error.

Oh and I've reinstalled, repaired, scanned for viruses and all that.

you might have a dodgy CD, you might need to exchange it for another one, if the warrinty is gone, try uninstalling it again go to the main website and they might have a patch you download to fix it, i remember mine not loading the saved files, i bought new copy but just after someone told me about the patch

I'm on the website now, but its really stupid. Its all set out in like a war kind of way, and I can't see the patches section.
