COD2- one for the kids?

i impulse bought this game today and played about 8 hours now.

what i wanna know is why is there all this grenade warning, red cross hair crap?

i dont need the cross hair to tell me i have a target, i dont need a sign saying there is a grenade infront of my face.

please tell me there is a way to get rid of this family friendly crap?
