I really tried to like WAR

Really I did. maybe it was a lack of time, perhaps it was other things that hindered me playing the game, maybe it was my choice of char/race/gender/kit. Maybe I am just not a muhmuhorpuhguh kind of guy?
My experience in a nutshell:
it all went well until I started to play the game tbh. Botched releases et al aside, I can deal with that. I'm not a fanboi, so unlike some, I cleaned my house, worried about my plant, got some beer in, etc, while somewhere people were presumably hard at work trying to get stuff running. Anyways, once I could log on I made a witch elf because I thought they were hot, and then scrapped that upon learning that Ch3tan was order on the same server, so I made a Shadow Warrior high elf chick to play, uh, with while entertaining some vague idea of hooking up with some mates from here to shag dragons with or something.
Then real life kicked in with a hoooge amount of stuff I'd have to do both professionally and personally (more or less the reason the green protonis isn't here yet tbh) so I couldn't play any more, or at least not as much as I'd like to.
Once I could get an hour in here and 30 mins in there, I just couldn't shake the notion I had of the mental vision of looking at a school playground filled with screaming 5yo's. There were people running around intent on their different tasks. Some were intent on the tasks I was doing at the time, which is a pain when you're only just slightly out of sync, so the feeling of being torn between either going on the slide or playing on the swings was back in full effect and was much the same as it was the last time I felt it some 25odd years ago heh. One time I teamed up with two other fellows to get utterly destroyed by a hydra and we had quite a laugh when it creamed me with one hit teaching me it was bad to be a tank when you're actually a ranged attack specialist and also that people trying to keep you alive have to work their butts off in support or you will all get eated unless you can run really fast.
So, after running about with all the other kiddies for a bit I was suddenly transported to another place where the game changed to a much more FPSesque capture the flag thing where I got to get dead a lot more times and learned that you can't really play this kind of game by yourself -aka solo, or completely ungrouped, unless you're really sneaky or really unnoticeable- because you really need your support people to keep you alive. Only a few people could actually be arsed to heal me or buff me or whatever it's called (thanks, whoever you are), and mostly the many guys on the other team had a field day ganging up on people who were noticeably alone.
Anyways, winding down, after a lot more of getting X for Y, killing A number of B and running about I was extremely bored with the whole thing and was glad I was just playing a free beta. The only thing I liked was the PQ element because at least that felt a lot less like my primary school teachers had devised a game for me to play (even though it still was thus ofc).
Summary:
+pretty, especially with the AA and AF gfx tweaks in place
+never played an MMORPG before
+elf girls are sexy
-felt very hand-holdy
-I didn't (and don't) have enough time
-got bored with the "fetch me this stuffs, foo" quests
