The Day at the beach
We went to Bournemouth beach today. Mr R was working, so Edmond kindly gave up his time to help me with my 3 munchkins, as they love him.
Day was ok, bit cold/cloudy but they were happy digging in the sand and paddling. I was putting Brodie's shoes on and I looked up and Ella had gone. The beach was quite empty and I scanned it and she was no where to be seen. She can have only been gone for 5 mins.
Edmond sprinted off to look. I made the other 2 sit still on the towels while I ran to the life guard hut to tell them. She is only 3 and had just gone! No time to panic- just had to act.
Then Edmond found her. She had gone to look at the wavy coloured slides and was making her way towards us crying cos she couldnt see us.
Jesus, my heart stopped. Thank you Ed, I owe you big time.

Never shat myself so much in my life, at least she's oblivious to what happened, which is one consolation

It is the worst feeling, even if you never take your eyes off them they still seem to be able to disappear in a flash. At least it all ended well.

Yes it did end well, with a little train ride along the front, ice lolly's and pizza hut, in that order
They wanted the ice lolly's on the way to pizza hut, and then couldn't work out why they weren't allowed desert??? Kids...... |
