I have to confess to feeling a bit yucky this morning as I awake from a great day in Stockholm.

Arriving in Stockholm lunchtime yesterday we met up with 3 friends of ours from WoW: Jonny (Bonewisher), Alex (Shindra) and Kenneth (Nimtix) and proceeded to wander into town.

After some discussion we decided we were hungry, found a deceptivly small from the outside Mongolion barbecue and proceeded to OM NOM NOM on noodles mixed with a variety of stuff... in some instances...

Well briefly I am happier than the other day thank god. I recieved the first cut of my contract which isnt too shabby. Basically 10% payrise plus they will pay for my accommodation and utilities, 2 flights (but I have requested 4) per year and I have also requested but not sure if it will happen a floor to protect my standard of living if the pound depreciates further as I am paid in sterling.

my new vice is a product called nasal snuff. not be confused with moist snuff which is used in the mouth and banned in most of europe.

nasal snuff is a fine tobacco dust, thats the ebst way to describe it. it comes in 100s of different 'flavours'. the idea is you take a pinch from the tin and sniff it up each nostril.

now i admit it, hands up I FUCKING LOVE NICOTINE. with a decent cup of tea im off my tits for a good 15 minutes. problem is - i dont like smoking. amongst other things it does cause lung disease.

english nasal snuff currently, if used corretly, is not linked to any disease. the lancet reported that it could be one of the biggest life savers of the 21st century in developed countries. obviously because smoking is the biggest curable killer known to man. snuff gives you nicotine quickly in a way which is 95% safer than smoking. there is obviously the effect on the heart which is equivalent to drinking strong coffee all day everyday.

add to all that it only costs 1.50 for an amount equivalent to 100 fags and its legal to use in public buildings (theres no smoke you see).

ive got 9 flavours so far and ive just cracked open a spearmint affair which is gorgeous and its kicking my arse!

Isn't it amazing how large corporations who advocate overseas work can be so fucking lapse when it actually comes to the crunch..... My new contract when it is written has to go through three delegations (Benelux, France and United Kingdom) for varying reasons, but mainly legalities (ie to ensure that the contract is legal in the host country) and to ensure it is equitable to all those concerned.

What a shame it is that then on 19th Sept just over a month before I am due to leave...

A few of you eropean guys might already know of this dude but as an english country bumpkin I had not encountered him until fairly reciently and man am i ever glad i did. I was remarking to B2 only last night about how almost everything i read is by british or american authors (the books may be set in foreign countries but the writers are less exotic and the wording is all familiar) and how refreshing it is to read a book written in a totally different way.
