Right so today The chap from MacY dropped by:
and brought along a batch of Bourbons for me to taste as i need to know what I'm selling ect. And a couple new Pastis as well for the shop
so a little list:
- Benchmark 40%
- Elmer T.Lee single barrel 45%
- Blanton's Single Barrel Special Reserve 40%
- Eagle Rare Single Barrel 10 years Kentucky Str. Bourbon 45%
- Old Charter 12 years 'Classic 90' 45%
- Sazerac Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey 6 years 45%
- W.L. Weller Kentucky Straight Bourbon 12 years "High wheat"
- Old Weller Antique 7 years 53% cask strenth
- Tequila Espolon Resposado Handcraft label 38%
- Liquoristerie de provence Aqualanca
- Liquoristerie de provence P’tit Bleu
- Liquoristerie de provence Ambiosis
they were all really good but I especially enjoyed the Old Weller Antique 7, The Elmer T.Lee single barrel and the Eagle rare 10
oh and to anyone concidering a good blending bourbon instead of say JeamBeam ? I can Highly recomend The Benchmark, it's actually the younger version of The Buffalo Trace.
about half it's age roughly.
