Grave Peril: Jim Butcher

Posted 28th October 2008 at 09:12 PM by Ezteq
Ok so this is book 3 in the dresden files and regular readers of this blog (ha, yeah ok well i can pretend that people read this crap can't i?) may recall that I wasn't overly impressed with book 1, however this one seems to have got the formula right (I missed book 2 because the library didn't stock it so can't comment on that) there are new (non-whining) characters and Dresden gets his act pretty much together while remaining a normal guy who just happens to be a wizzard.

woo-flipping-hoo!!!

Book 3 in the Matthew Hawkwood series has finally been read by me and twas another bloomin corker! This time Hawkwood is taken from his usual setting in Bow Street and placed incognito on a prison hulk to see if he can figure out whats been going on with french prisoners escaping, this book involves rather disgusting goings on in the prison ships a daring escape, smugglers, pirates and all kinds of shifty shinannegins.

Its another brilliant book...

OK so this is the first in the charlie "bird" parker series (I read the last one by accedent lol) and its bloody long and i enjoyed every bit of it!

its down as a silence of the lambs type thing and i have to agree with that, its dark and nasty and some onf the stuff this guy writes is truely sick...i loved it!

I do like a good long book you can really get your teeth in to and if you like crime and who dunnits and blood and guts and gore then you'll like this...

Storm Front: Jim Butcher

For those of you who have heard of them this is the first book in the series of The Dresden Files, which was a short lived (but quite good) TV series about a wizard living in chicago and working with the police.

If you've seen the show then you'll recognise the story but it's approximately 1 book per episode so theres an awful lot more in the book and (aside from Harry) most of the characters are totally different.

As I said before this is about a wizard who has an...
