Dericks Bane: MaryJanice Davidson

This is a love story....with werewolves and a sourceress who doesn't know she's a sourceress, she actually thinks she's just a Dr, but she is a sourceress despite what she thinks.
Poor Derick the werewolf doesnt know what to do with himself, he is fighting with his best friend (who also happens to be the Pakc leader) and he doesn't know why, his love life sucks and he knows soon he will have to leave his home and his freinds before he kills the pack leader (did i mention he is also Dericks best freind?) anyway, things are looking bleak until Antonia the packs psychic non-changing werewolf sees something horrible lurking in the future and sends Derick off on a quest to save the world (which might be true or she could just be pissed off at him and want him out the way for a bit).
Anyway this is a nice short book that will tax none of your brain cells (no matter how badly they've been abused) and probably make you giggle a few times. MJD's writing style is great she's quick and sassy and her characters are like real people, they bicker, they fall over, they say stipud things and in the face of danger and death they realise they;ve suddenly eaten too many marshmellows and feel sick.
This book was OK (it's the first in the werewolf stand alone series but she has done several short stories featuring the Wyndham wolves) tbh I prefer her Queen Betsy Undead series about the queen of the vampires...who is called Betsy Oo
anyhoo great book if you've got older sisters or younger mums they will love it its chick-lit with a bite
