The melancholy death of oyster boy: Tim Burton

Posted 29th October 2008 at 08:15 PM by Ezteq
If your a fan of his films i strongly suggest you read this book, if you can;t stand his films i suggest you steer well clear.

I am a fan of this guy's movies, I am amazed at how his mind works and love the way he sees things, the book its self is a collection of short observations and ideas in poem form and accompanied by illustrations by Burton (it's all very nightmare before christmassy), the poems focus mainly on children and the dysfunctionality of family and all of them probably...

The Robe of Skulls: Vivienne French

Ok so this is a kids book but it was really enjoyable, and short. If your not much in to reading I'd suggest you try something like this because it's light and fun and not going to piss you off with any unnecessary faffing about, I love reading kids books and much of the time they are equally as rewarding (if not more so) that adult books because they are created to foster a love of reading, not to be controversial or anything that might put people off, they are not any less intelligent than adult...

Grave Peril: Jim Butcher

Rapscallion: James McGee

woo-flipping-hoo!!!

Book 3 in the Matthew Hawkwood series has finally been read by me and twas another bloomin corker! This time Hawkwood is taken from his usual setting in Bow Street and placed incognito on a prison hulk to see if he can figure out whats been going on with french prisoners escaping, this book involves rather disgusting goings on in the prison ships a daring escape, smugglers, pirates and all kinds of shifty shinannegins.

Its another brilliant book...
