The Dentist
Hmmm....first blog
So i went to the dentist today to have a broken tooth sorted out, no joy with the shitty NHS, so on my fathers recommedation, i went to his private one
All very fancy and nice, flashy X-ray machine that did a 360 degree of my head and special camera to take close up photos of everything, but now i have to have 3 visits, root canal work and pocelin caps
And i'm looking at a bill the wrong end of a £1000....Ouch
Got to go back next week for the first procedure, an hour and a half in the chair....shit!!!
But they do have a flat screen TV on the ceiling to watch as you lay back.....which is nice

best to suck it up an go though mate. I know, I've been there, and I hate the bloody dentists, every one. went in march for the first time in 10+ years and was absolutely bricking myself, but it was worth it in the end. you can do it!

A thousand pounds dental work may seem like a lot, but it really isn't. My mum spent the best part of £10k on her teeth last year.
Parting with the cash will hopefully teach you to look after your teeth and gums better and save the money next time. BTW, root canal. Ouchies! |

I do look after them, but i grind my bottom front teeth up behind the back of my top front teeth in my sleep, apparently.
This is causing the back teeth to get closer and crush one another, hence they are breaking up. i did go regularly to my old dentist, but after 3 years of them f**king me about i went to the new one, its only now i realise the old dentist wasn't doing his job The rest of my teeth are ok, and i think i've only ever had about 3 fillings in my life, but £10k....shit, your poor mum, i think i will count myself lucky Got to go back next tuesday for the root canal work, not looking forward to it |

I dunno. When I had a wisdom tooth out (yes, that explains lots, doesn't it ahem) I was wrecked for about two weeks. All I can say is, if you're unsure about it call your dentist and ask.

Hope it's improved. But if it hasn't and you're paying you should be able to contact someone over the weekend. If you're really desperate there's always AandE, that's if your local one is any good. Didn't you get any literature on what to expect afterwards?
