If (like me) your a fan of DI Rebus then this will be the book you've been anticipating and dreading...for it is his retirement!
Actually it really shows, there is a lighter feeling in this book as if both Rankin and Rebus have been liberated by knowing that the end (at least of the career with the police) is nigh.
The story revolves around the murder (or as the scotts say it MurrDah)of a Russian poet (it is set at the same time as the Litvenyenko (sp)death) and Rebus...
