I was lead to believe that the last remaining days of the original FH server was whole-funded by that nice guy* DaGaffer.

and before that clan Ph33r had full stake in the server because the FH funding option ran dry*

*1 I might be wrong about the nice guy reference, but all evidence pointing to his evilness has mysteriously vanished

*2 I might be wrong about this point as well, but it did get a "rebrand" on the logo for a while, then something happened

Might be worthwhile getting a sticky posted in this forum about the interest for another whip-round? you might garner some interest in a server and you could form a clan to fight in tournaments as well (get further use out of the server as well)

I would of jumped onto the BF2142 bandwagon except for the fear over the bug-fixing fiasco that plagued Battlefield 2, which I see was somewhat justified now.

Knifing in CS:S isnt the same tho but gren-kill headshots are always funny \o/
