I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but I saw a post on IGN about Aoc and the way it's got better.

Thing is I gave it a go and guess what? I haven't played War in over 2 weeks. War was really annoying me and Aoc is just so much more fun. Ok it doesn't claim to be the whole orvr/opvp, but it does have almost everything that War does.

So my advice is, give it a go. I'm not saying I wont come back to War, but it's worth a go if you want to wait for War to shape up for a bit.

Since the new director took over AoC really has come on leaps and bounds

I do find myself logging into AoC more often these days, but the ffa pvp isn't to everyones liking, once I stopped taking the deaths personally, AoC's small scale fights really became lots of fun.

If they could just work on the border lands a little more in AoC, I probably wouldn't play WaR at all

AoC HAS gotten quite a bit better, but theres still quite a few gaps in questing, even with ymir's pass released

Well after facing tonight's rvr filled with as many wp's and white lions as Hirn's order can throw at us I'm not inclined to defend WAR's attempt at pvp.

I played AoC a bit and did not like it. Sounds like you think it has got better.

Oddly an AoC forum I joined emailed me this week saying it was closed because AoC had not gone the way they hoped. I got the impression AoC was struggling for population.

I liked the AoC gfx and some of the concepts. For me the PvP makes such a diff though. Had some really good PvP on K8P t2 recently.

Aoc's devs have finally bit the bullet and merged the servers, so the population is alot healthier. I'm actually seeing alot of Warhammer guys in chat as well. I even heard one guy say it was more DAOC 2 than War was. I tend to agree.

There is a patch coming out in the next few days(hopefully) That is supposed to sort out the ffa pvp issues by upgrading the borderlands and such like. Like I said, I've not been playing for that long.

One of the things I'm impressed with is the ingame gm's and the dev support. There was an issue a couple of weeks back with peoples inventories. It was a Saturday night/early Sunday so no one expected anything to be done, but within 30 mins, we all got a message to say devs were onsite and working on it. It was fixed within 2 hours.

There was actually a post by one of the devs on the forum next day to say he apologises if he broke anything because he was drunk when he got in

But I'll be keeping an eye on these forums anyway, to see how War goes. This is the best place for honest mature discussions imo.
