LOE Burn enemy Battlekeep

Last night Lords of England attacked and burnt an enemy Battlekeep.

Now, the destruction of buildings was fun, as you get the gates down they are hanging off the hinges, the buildings start to collapse and burn. (see pics)

One problem, after breaching the inner gate, we went rigth for the jugular, we destroyed their Keep Structure.

Well,, seemed like a good plan, but it ENDED the siege instantly, we couldnt attack any more buildings and the seige ended with a loss for us lol. Seems odd when we could have burnt every building in there.

Ah well.

Where are the defenders btw? Did they give up?

We delayed the attack. The siege vulnerability started at 5PM, but we only moved in aroudn 5.30. Im guessing by then they had either had enough waiting or figured nobody was actually attacking.

We will revist them and attack more conventionally this time, prefer some fightback ;]


Also this time we will know not to attack the Keep structure first and end the Siege prematurely. That gets left till last this time around heh.

how the hell do you guys get enough minigames to assault battle keeps? theres NEVER one up when i wanna do one

Dont need to do Mini games. You need a Tier 3 keep to delcare siege.

You only need points from minigames, if two guilds want to attack the same battlekeep during the same vulnerability window. Then the guild with more points is supposed to win the chance to attack. Its unclear ATM how many points will be deducted tho.

Tbfh I pay 15 Euro a month, I want to be able to raid any battle keep with my 1-man-guild full of level 20 twinks.

So fucking what if The Phoenix Legion farmed my twinks with a semi-set group in the mini games and got the points, no one can force the MMO part in a RPG on me though I want the same rights as those power gaming guilds!11oneone1

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I thought AoC would be some kind over Neverwinter Nights III or some kind of DAoC 0.5, instanced and shit and never meeting anyone.

Just saying what I've heard on Dagon OOC etc. I haven't even tried PVP yet.

I would be quite suprised if that were true, would not be happy about it if it is true as I have experienced the sharp end of of that myself and is totally lame. If anyone sees an LoE member doing this please let me know and I will have serious words, our guild tries to do things the right way and we don't want it ruined by events like that.

Only one thing springs to mind. Did somebody shout LOE ARE CAMPED AT THE REZ POINT in chat?

If so im guessing its down to our Siege of Avatars. On both Sieges we assembled in the PVP zone at the rez point, to mount our attack.


Point1- During a Seige defence, the defenders rez INSIDE their Battlekeep, not at the zones Rez point

Point2 During a seige no1 else can even enter the zone, they get booted out, its just the attackers and defenders in there (crappy).


Us meeting at the rez point had no impact on any1 at all, nobody would ever have rezzed there during our attack, it was impossible.

What wait... noone else can enter the zone while a siege is going on? Then I reckon there are more Border Kingdom zones than just the one. Or is PVP off-limits on PVE servers when someone is doing a siege?

There are 3 main RVR areas, each holds upto 3 Battlekeeps.

Lets pretend for a minute that the guild to the south of us in our zone, is under a booked siege between 8pm and 10PM.

During this time, nobody else can enter that zone apart from the defenders and the attackers.

So us, as LOE for example, cant even go to our own BK inbetween those times. If we were there in the area when the siege bagan, we woud be booted to Conarch Village.



Also if its general PVPing without a booked siege, everyonbody (apart from the guilds that have BKs in that zone) all rez in the same spot.

To draw on the past, its kinda like fighting in Emain, but ALL the hibs, Mids and Albs spawn in the same place upon death, apart from the guild that owned DC at the time. Good plan eh?


If there is a siege on in each of the three areas (not unheard of) nobody at all apart from the attackers and defenders of those 3 Keeps (1 in each zone) would be able to enter the RVR areas at all.
