The only thing you can draw from the poll is that the tiny percentage of playerbase who participated (all from the same forum) generally liked the game when it came out, a few weeks later those same players liked it less.

It really tells anyone thinking about trying the game very little and is essentially pretty worthless.

God, don't you just die a little inside when you try that hard to make yourslef look like an idiot? It is statitics, thats how all statistics and surveys are done.

And it clearly shows that on large people are happy with the the game, but they are dissapointed and annoyed by x things. You can clearly draw a conclusion from it, and if the key points that drew you to the game are amongts the things that people deem as broken then obivously it might be taking a chance buying the game, since you will likely be dissapointed.

Quite funny that you asume I'm defending AoC, I'm not. I'm just tired of stupidity on this forum and the really cluelessness from alot of people here.

You guys whine about it beeing hard to level when it is super easy.

You guys whine about grinding beeing slow when it is so fast with the right grp.

You guys whine about PoMs when they are clearly a gimped class that lacks alot for beeing a main CC class.

You guys whine about necros and demonos beeing shit when they are on the contrary very very potent classes that excell in PvE and AoE dmg.

I mean you bitch, whine and comment on so many things wich you have basically no clue about from your lvl 30 whatever class experience.

i got a lvl70 char, did 90% of all doable q, farmed gold and some stuff for g city and stopped playing after 1 month, cause i was bored from the game and aoc fanboys driving ppl away ( moderators are partly responsible) :

the reason for using this in daoc was that you can't communicate with enemies ingame.

sign yourself up for that, you lack the perspective and the empathy to understand why people, "only" able to put down 3~ hours per day, are complaining.

personally I gotta shut down AoC from time to time now that I level my second character to 80, this in order to gain further motivation... leveling in AoC is easy yes, but it's repetitive, which makes it hard to withstand for longer periods of time, which itself is required for you to proceed leveling.

It's not hard as in challenging or difficult, but as in tedious, repetitive and easy to lose motivation. I think many people find it "hard" to level because some of the level ranges lacks content, like quests or designed zones. It's also so many levels that you don't really look forward to the next level, it's just another stop on the road, usually gaining a level is something you look forward to.

Personally I have no problems with grinding, never exped in a group so can't comment on that.

Playing a PoM and thinks it's a decent class so far (Based on PvE, not yet tried PvP)

The complete and utter fucking fanbois make no counter argument at all except to say 'AOC is the best MMORPG ever released'

And these are the same people who were on the Tabula Rasa/LOTR posts when they came out.

Are they still playing those games?

If you want to try AOC go ahead it is a very good game up until lvl 20 then all of a sudden the Tortage experience drops and you meet the typical MMORPG only with less ways to see who is online and form a group.

The quest system IE follow the yellow arrow to the quest rinse repeat is a very boring system imo and leaves nothing to think about.

Me not having empathy for people not beeing able to play more then 3 hours a day? What is your point? Break down all my played hours and devide it on how many days the game been out and I don't average 2 played hours a day myself, again what is your point?


If you feel that I lack empathy and understanding for clueless people making retarded remarks about things they have little to none experience with then you are spot on. I don't think it is a very fair statement to say that a PoM is OP'd like Aada does in half his posts when he really have zero clue. And I'm not gonna explain to him why since it is well obvious to anyone who actually played the game somewhat.

I don't think it is a fair statement to whine about it beeing hard to level either through quests or grinding, it is 10x simpler then daoc.

I don't think it is a fair statement to whine about demonos and necros comming with ludicrous and laughable/made up examples of how much they suck when infact both classes roxthe box. Again I do not have to go through the exact details here since it is obvious when you play the game. The necro have the bets aoe atm and the demonos nuke dmg is very very nice and they have sweet cc.


Quite amazing how people like Partyanimal just can't wait to try and turn my post into some kind of fanboi post. I'm far from it. I don't defend the flaws, I just point out that 98% of the stuff written in the other thread is so uninformed and silly it is not suited to make any kind of decision on.

3k random people in a survey is not perfect but it is a billion times more relayable then the newbie whine in aadas thread, christ have people whining about that it is hard to find people to group with - haha.

You for example havn't made one valid point in 2 weeks. Go back to WoW the game is obviously too hard for you.
