Doom3 Multiplayer

ive just come out of a doom3 multiplayer game which was as laggy as hell

is this down to shitty net code or is it more likley that there are no decent servers as yet?

I havent tried it mp as all the servers I pinged were too high.

I would think its down to no good servers being out yet, happens with most new games?

I tried it yesterday and it was fine to me. The problem at the moment is a lot of games are being hosted by home users.

yeh it wasnt bad with me yesterday but doom aint a multiplayer game imo... atleast until mods come out

Whenever I try to play MP I get "please enter your cd key ...."

i never had that... just took ages to join a server

well jolt have got 2 servers up and multiplay also have 1 up atm

im getting anywhere between 30 and 65 fps depending on how dark the map is

Hey Throd, tried deleting file 'doomkey' in your base directory, then re-entering it when you load the game? Actually, better back it up instead I spose, just in case - rename it 'doomkey.old' or something. Should work.

I had the same problems but then just used gamespy to find decent servers that dont show up as full or passworded since the filters suck on MP. I just cant stand playing sometimes with people that call me a hacker cuz I know where and how to find powerups/invisibility in levels. It gets old.
