Unhappy reboot or crash to desktop during game! help!

crash /reboot

no matter what game i play after a while (20m-40m) my comp crashes to desktop with no error or reboots my system? tried every thing to fix it! bios,drivers ect! its not over heating and theres plenty of power! any one else had this? fixed it????
my system is
saphire pure advantage crossfire mobo,
athlon 64 3700 sandiago,
ati x800xl
1 gig ram(dd400.pc3200)
500w psu
xp pro!
please help me!!

Only time I had probs like that, was when my computer was overheating, but you have said that it's not overheating. The only other thing I could suggest is, maybe it's the memory? Could try it with only one memory stick in (if you have more than one) and see if that does anything?

I had that problem recently. Removed 1 RAM module and it dissapeared,

fixed!!!!!

thanks for the replys! i solved the problem! tried takeing my ram out one at a time,seemed to fix it, the problem was that 1 of my 512 sticks had a cooler cover on it,as soon as i took it off the stick and they both started working again and the comps running like a dream! just wonderd if theres a way to test it to see if it has done any damage to the ram?
