L4D at home with your mates?
I've got a couple of PC's and fancy playing L4D, Lan-stylee with a mate who's coming up this weekend. But I don't fancy shelling out £30 for a couple of hours fun.
Purely theoretically, is there a way of achieving the above...

Thanks for the helpful answer there.
It's piss easy and you do it through the console, so hardly "bad"  1) Boot up Steam in Offline Mode on both PC's. 2) Enter the following commands into the console on the server PC:
3) In the client pc console type: connect <IP address of server PC> Bob's your mother's brother! Time to wake said m8 up methinks. If he shoots me I can actually punch him
