Lurikeen hero I tested it with had 90 dex in template 50+20 parry 50+20 shield 73% chance to parry 73% chance to block and he was slammed 3 times in a row.

ran out of time to edit, the lurikeen did have mob3/parry3 and the 3 slams that landed on him were from a hybrid not a pure tank. Paladin may have got extremely lucky with 3 slams in a row but it just goes to show someone with alot higher defence still gets hit.
The armsman you fought must have had terrible weapon skill if they didn't hit you once.
