Hello everyone,
is anybody still playing Everquest II ?
In my humble opinion, this game has greatly improved since the introduction of "Rise of Kunark".
The expansion currently costs 20 quid and includes all former updates and the main game itself.

There is a new starting zone, Gorowyn, and if you haven't played for a while, there is actually a second new staring zone: Neriak, the City of Hate.
During many Game Updates, the guys from SOE have constantly added new improvements and enhancements to the game which are indeed very convenient.
I still like EQ2 and play it regularly. The Runnyeye server is located in Amsterdam and offers a constant mixture of players from all time zones, mostly Europeans, but also a few Canadians and people from the United States, too, and then a surprisingly large faction of Australians who log into the game in the middle of the night (London time).
At the same time, the huge hardware requirements which used to be an obstacle for many casual gamers now seem trivial. At least, since I have my new computer, I can play EQ2 in a window and can surf the net and write e-mails at the same time. (Of course, only if my character has arrived at a safe location.)
Finally, it's worth to mention that EQ2 has become very cheap for many European players. SOE still charges in US-Dollars, and the Euro has risen sharply against the Dollar.
What is your opinion about Everquest II?
