anyway, restarted again, and this time with a sorc/palemaster. and i still fail misserably killing those vampire ainchients
been through most of the normal + prestige classes for that area and theres just no killing them the normal way. even if i go back after i have gone through half or mre of the game i still can't kill the fuckers.
i mean what the hell. their reflex and will saves and shit and through the fucking roof. not to mention their AC and immunity feats. not even with epic spell penetration + undead to death and any of the other so called "undead and vampire killing spells"can i beat them!
even my 42 AC fighter couldn't survive more then 10 seconds against them. blessed to my teath or not.
usually it goes like this. i pick whatever rogue toon i have available to disarm the door trap, pick the lock and open the door. select my healer to run in first (so she wont get pummeled after the first heal) enter the corridor with her first and instantry get swarmed by 5 or 6 of those vampires. usually my caster dies before i even manage to cast my first heal or she manage to cast her own version of UtD, and the spirit shaman soon thereafter after he's sumoned his "uber elemental" or casting whatever AE he's got off. after that the only thing left standing is my tank (thats usually me) and the healer cleric. and as the cleric is the only thing left standing that even have a chance at killing those vampires fairly fast with undead to death and what not. its a choise of either sacrificing my tank, hoping he'll survive long enough while the cleric is spamming her AE spells hoping to win the rolls or keeping him alive and see the sub 10 damage he's doing to those mobs.
and suffice to say that neither is working as the cleric aint got enough heals no matter what and my tank cant do enough damage while the vampires can dish out truckloads and still be able to take the same from reflex saves, their insane AC and whatnot.
/edit: theres probably not much thats worth going there for but thats no why i try anymore. now i just need them dead for the sake of it!
